The Czechoslovakian Wolfdog is a very unusual breed of dogs, which has the appearance of a wolf and the character of a real soldier who faithfully serves his master. By virtue of its qualities, the wolf is a very serious animal, which has a very bright appearance. This is not to say that this breed is very common outside its native territory, however, Czechoslovakian wolves have their loyal fans.
Where and how did the breed come about?
The first breeder who managed to get a litter from a wolf and a dog was Karel Hart. With his unusual experience, this enthusiast was able to prove that hybrid puppies can be born regardless of who exactly the mother and father were in a mixed pair.
In addition, Karel Hart was the first person who had no purpose after crossing to get dog fighters suitable for serving or performing certain tasks. The sole purpose of this breeder was to bring a bright, beautiful breed with a set of certain qualities.
The first thing was crossed Carpathian wolf and German shepherd. Next, the pups obtained in this process were crossed with dogs. The obtained litters pleased the breeders, as the puppies showed excellent results in the process of dog training, and were also very undemanding in terms of their content and hardy. Due to such characteristics, the breed has interested many dog experts and aroused interest in their professional community.
The popularity of wolffs gradually increased, due to which by 1982 this breed had become the national symbol of Czechoslovakia. In addition, despite the fact that initially the breeders did not have a goal to use such dogs for service, by this time the wolves still attracted the attention of certain departments. The main features of the breed
Czechoslovakian wolves have the following standards regarding appearance:
