Traces of fresh or dried blood on clothes are among the most persistent contaminants that need a special approach. Things can not be washed in hot water, otherwise your favorite jeans or sweater will have to be put on rags. In the store you can buy special stain removers: powders, gels, soaps. The second option is to prepare a remedy for traces of blood with your own hands.
Fast reaction
If the trouble happened at home, the soiled thing should be immediately removed and rinsed under cold water. First, blot the blood with tissues or toilet paper so that it does not soak into the tissue. Do not press hard or rub, otherwise the stain will become larger.
A tissue with residual blood can be processed by the household, and if it is not at hand, it can be treated with ordinary liquid soap. Repeat the procedure until the stain disappears. It remains to squeeze and dry the thing.
In public places, you can simply blot the stain and rinse under a tap. If your jeans or skirt get dirty, remove the blood with a dry cloth and then rub gently with a damp cloth. After returning home, immediately soak in a basin with cool water and stain remover. In a container with light-colored clothing without a pattern, it is recommended to add a little bleach. Save color and black things with the help of oxygen-containing stain remover, for example, "Vanisha".
Simple remedies against blood
One of the options for resuscitation of a white shirt or light jeans is peroxide. Apply the liquid on a cotton swab, apply to a fresh spot. You can gently drop a little peroxide on the fabric and wait until it stops foaming. Brush off the remnants of the brush or blot with a napkin, send the clothes to the washing machine.
Need to get rid of old traces of blood? To peroxide should be added ammonia and soap. Soak the thing, wring it out a little and apply the solution to the damp cloth. The tool is prepared from three tablespoons of ammonia and 0.5 ml of cool water. Put a tampon dipped in the solution on the stain, wait 5-10 minutes.Wash away the residues under the tap, and if the blood has disappeared, it is enough to wash it with powder. Are the brown stains left? Apply a little peroxide on them, after 10–15 minutes, blot the dirt with a napkin. Wipe the remaining blood with laundry soap and do not wash it off for several hours. You can soak clothes in cold water. Be sure to add detergent or powder to the liquid. Finish the procedure with a regular wash.
Tip: Before using alcohol, check how the fabric reacts to it. Moisten peroxide or ammonia with a small area on the wrong side. If after 10–20 minutes the fabric does not shed, a hole does not appear on it, then you can safely use recipes with alcohol.
Original solutions
Wool, denim and other things from dense materials can be treated with undiluted 3% or 5% ammonia. Blood from silk, chiffon and translucent fabrics is removed by more gentle methods.
Potato Aid
Dilute the starch with water to a paste-like state, apply on the stain from the wrong side and the front side. Leave until full gruel, which absorbs dirt.Dried starch clean off a toothbrush, rinse the thing in the washing machine.
Recipes with salt
The affected thing is recommended to soak in brine. Dissolve 1-2 tablespoons of salt in a liter of liquid, pour clothing on the solution and leave to soak. After 8–10 hours, replace the brine with plain water, rub the stains with a brush and soap.
Light fabrics are treated with a paste of lemon juice and ground salt. Prepare a thick mush from the ingredients, apply a thin layer on the stain. Salt dissolves blood proteins, and lemon bleaches. A few minutes is enough for the product to work. You can wait until the gruel dries, scrub it with a sponge and rub it a little. Wash as a normal thing.
Chemistry at hand
No less effective is a detergent for dishes or "Domestos". The latter is quite aggressive, therefore it is not suitable for working with delicate fabrics and colored clothing. Apply a few drops on a damp cloth, lather a little and set aside. Rinse under the tap and wash.
Option with soda
To save jeans and trousers from dense fabric it is possible usual soda.Dissolve 50 g of food powder in a liter of distilled water, soak the clothes in the mixture for a few hours or leave overnight. Soda will soften the stain, you will only have to rub it with a brush and rinse the cloth in clean water.
For old and eaten traces of blood, soda ash is recommended. She is more aggressive, so they work with her in rubber gloves. An alternative is baking soda, which must be calcined in an oven at a temperature of 110–130 degrees. Mix 50 g of powder with a liter of water, soak the affected thing for 10 hours. Soda ash can destroy silk and chiffon fabric.
Glycerin and borax
Favorite skirt, stained with blood, lay too long, and there is no hope of saving her? You can try a mixture of a teaspoon of borax, a tablespoon of ammonia and two spoons of water. Thoroughly chop the ingredients, apply to the fabric and leave the product for a few minutes. Clothes should be rinsed under a tap and washed with soap to remove residual ammonia and borax.
If at home there is a vial of glycerin, you can use the tool to remove blood stains. Place a bottle under a stream of hot water, wait until the contents are warm. Treat with glycerin stain, blot with a cotton swab.
Woolen things are recommended to save aspirin. Crush 1-2 tablets, mix with water to make a slurry. Treat bloody stains with a paste, rub with a brush and rinse. Wool and silk clothes are treated with vinegar solution: the same amount of water per part of the table ingredient. Moisten, rub, sprinkle a wet stain with talcum powder. When the powder dries, wipe it off and wash the item, rinse in water with a little vinegar.
