Sweating is the body's natural response to high temperatures and physical activity. The fluid that goes through the pores helps the body to cool and not get a heat stroke. Ordinary people have enough antiperspirant so that passersby do not turn around and wrinkle their noses because of the persistent smell of sweat. But there is a separate category with the diagnosis of "hyperhidrosis", in which T-shirts are never dry, and deodorants do not cope with their task.
First aid
The main rule of a person with increased perspiration is to take a shower or bath regularly, at least 2 times a day. Armpits, feet or palms can be additionally rinsed under a tap with antibacterial soap. Detergent will destroy germs, because of which there is an unpleasant smell.
Clothing should not be too tight.The skin reacts poorly to synthetics, so with hyperhidrosis it is better to buy products made of cotton or other natural materials. If your feet sweat a lot, you should choose breathable leather shoes.
In case of axillary hyperhidrosis, vegetation should be shaved off in time, special disposable pads can be bought. They absorb the excreted liquid, so the T-shirt remains dry.
Folk recommendations
- Prepare 100 g of chamomile and 2 liters of water decoction. Add 2 tbsp to the filtered liquid. regular soda, mix thoroughly. Soak swabs in broth, and wipe problem areas twice a day. You can use this solution for bathing.
- The second option is made from oak bark (a teaspoon) and a glass of boiling water. Pour the raw material with hot water, insist under the lid. Strained oak drink combined with freshly squeezed lemon juice (50-100 mg). Use instead of lotion to treat problem areas to reduce perspiration, and remove the specific smell.
- Useful or sea salt. Spoon the component in 100 ml of warm water.Stir thoroughly, moisten the pieces of cloth in the solution, and attach them to problem areas for 10–15 minutes. Rinse the skin with clean water, do not use soap. The procedure is best done at bedtime, repeated daily for a week.
- Put some crystals of potassium permanganate in a gauze bag, and immerse the fabric in water. Take out when the solution becomes a pale pink shade. Use liquid for compresses, wetting tissue wipes in it. Palms or feet can be simply immersed in the solution for 20 minutes.
- The next option against hyperhidrosis consists of oak bark and honey. Grind the dry billet in a coffee grinder to make a fine powder. For 2 tablespoons of bark, take 3 tablespoons of the bee ingredient and mix thoroughly until a brownish smooth mass is obtained. Apply to cleaned areas twice a day, hold for 10-15 minutes.
- Reduces perspiration horsetail or leaves of walnuts. 100 g of raw materials put in a glass container, and pour a liter of alcohol: alcohol or vodka will do. Close, and in a dark place for 10–15 days for the agent to infuse. Moisten cotton swabs and wipe the armpits, back, or feet with a nut mixture.
- Inside it is useful to use herbal teas. Suitable sage, valerian root or lemon balm.
- In case of emergency, when there is no time for a shower, you can use wet wipes to clean the skin and wipe with a slice of lemon. Fruit reduces the amount of sweat, plus refreshes, removing the unpleasant smell for several hours.
- Some cook at home powders, which add boric acid and urotropin, but this option should be used only after consulting a specialist.
- Hyperhidrosis is treated with contrasting lotions: for 5 minutes they apply a cloth dipped in hot water and then in cold water, or with pieces of ice. Useful douche, which reduce sweating, and strengthen the immune system.
- Every day you can start the morning with a contrast shower, which refreshes, invigorates, and contributes to the narrowing of pores.
- Baths with coniferous decoction are effective. In 0.5 liter of boiling water brew 250 g of needles, and insist for at least an hour. Dial a full bath, and add coniferous extract. Water temperature should not exceed 37 degrees. Steam 20 minutes, and immediately go to bed.
- Armpits are rubbed with apple cider vinegar diluted in water.
- You can make masks of baking soda, diluted to a pasty state. Keep this mixture for 10 minutes, after removing the remnants of the swab and clean water. Repeat 1-2 weeks, preferably every day.
Proper diet
Hyperhidrosis is a problem that needs to be addressed in a complex manner. Gadgets and hygiene is not enough. The body should be supported from the inside, and some products should be removed from the menu:
- Fast food, butter with margarine, mayonnaise and fried foods lead to an increase in cholesterol. Blood circulation problems affect the sweat glands, and hyperhidrosis occurs.
- Spicy spices and alcohol should be avoided. Refuse from coffee, cocoa, tea and chocolate, in which there is caffeine with theobromine. Substances contribute to increased heart rate and increased sweating.
- Do not abuse the sweet and carbonated drinks, which do not quench, but provoke thirst. Excess fluid is removed from the body in several ways, and one of them is excessive perspiration.
The body with hyperhidrosis needs food rich in calcium, iron and vitamins of group B. The menu must include:
- ryazhenka and kefir;
- low-fat cottage cheese;
- black and bran bread;
- buckwheat;
- parsley;
- hard cheeses;
- young nettle;
- wheat germ;
- carrots raw and boiled;
- kohlrabi and cauliflower;
- dried figs, can be fresh;
- sea and river fish;
- turkey and chicken breast;
- fruits of sea buckthorn and rowan;
- persimmon.
Important: Properly formulated diet helps control weight, strengthens blood vessels, normalizes blood circulation, and eliminates excessive sweating. The more vegetables, cereals and fruits in it, the better for appearance and well-being.
Sparing methods
You can fight hyperhidrosis with anti-perspirant drugs and ointments. The main thing that the composition of these funds included zinc, aluminum chloride and salicylic acid. It is recommended to try "DryDry", "Maxim" or "Odaban". The alternative is Teymurov or Lassar paste, which absorb excess moisture, normalize the work of the sweat glands, and have antiseptic properties. When hyperhidrosis helps "Formagel" and "Uratropin."
These drugs are more effective than popular recommendations, but have side effects.The most common are irritation and allergy, so they are used with caution and follow the instructions.
Magic injections
Get rid of excessive sweating and in beauty salons. A popular and effective procedure that guarantees long-lasting results is injections of A-type botulinum toxin. Suitable for people with armpit hyperhidrosis. Not used to combat sweating feet or palms.
Sign up for the procedure is recommended in the spring. Toxin is advised not to be administered under the skin more than once a year. After manipulations, the problem does not remind of itself for 4–6 months. You can use any drugs, except "Kseomina", which is poorly distributed in soft tissues.
The problem areas are first treated with an anesthetic, after a mixture of starch and iodine, so that the beautician can determine in which zones the sweat glands work in an enhanced mode. A few shots, and you can forget about deodorants and hyperhidrosis for a few months.
Shock therapy
With sweating palms and feet, you can fight iontophoresis. The patient is offered to immerse the limbs in water through which weak electrical discharges are passed.The duration of the procedure is from 20 minutes to half an hour. Recommend at least 10 sessions with 3-day breaks.
No pain, possible tingling. The procedure is inexpensive, but each person responds to electricity treatment differently. One iontophoresis helps to get rid of hyperhidrosis for a long period, others only decrease sweating.
Surgical intervention
When traditional and unconventional methods are powerless, and the clothes have to be literally squeezed out, the last solution remains - surgery. The sweat glands can be softened with special preparations, and then “taken out” with the help of drainage needles. Recovery takes about a month, sometimes less. No trace remains. The operation is performed under local anesthesia.
The second option is endoscopic sympathectomy, which lasts about 2 hours. The surgeon cuts or pinches the sympathetic trunk, brain signals do not flow to the sweat glands, and they stop working. Three small cuts, and you can forget about hyperhidrosis until the end of your life.
Important: Approximately 10% of patients after surgery, there is a compensatory reaction.The fluid, which was supposed to go through the armpits or hands, is redirected to the back or abdomen, buttocks or thighs. T-shirt with hands remains dry, and "streams" flow down behind or in front.
An alternative to surgery is laser or liposuction, which have virtually no side effects. But such procedures save for a while, and cannot guarantee 100% results.
Starting to combat hyperhidrosis, you should visit a general practitioner and endocrinologist, do a fluorography to exclude diabetes, tuberculosis, oncology and kidney disease. For the prevention of excessive sweating, it is advised to go to the sauna, not to abandon physical education and relaxation.
