How to get rid of aphids on cucumbers: 6 ways

Aphid starts attacking cucumbers in July. Small translucent bugs with green wings and abdomens multiply rapidly, sucking the juices from the stems and flowers. The leaves of the garden crop turn yellow and curl, sag, and the ovary either does not appear or becomes sluggish and sore. Aphids can destroy cucumbers in just a week, so insects need to be fought with traditional methods, and if they failed, use chemistry.

Water from pests

The bugs from the stalks and root system are washed off with a damp sponge or soft cloth. Moisten the fabric in clean water or soapy water, gently wipe the bushes, trying not to damage the delicate shoots.

Cucumbers, on which a lot of ovaries and few flowers, bathe daily. Plants are washed in the morning before dawn so that the root system can absorb water and the top of the bushes dry. The jet is directed to the inside of the leaves and the stems. Water washes away aphids and reduces the number of pests.

Cucumber leaves are sprayed or wiped with horseradish tincture:

1. Wash and finely chop 7–8 plant roots.
2. Put in a pot or can, pour 3 liters of warm water.
3. After 3 hours, drain the resulting infusion.
4. Do not throw out the cake, but combine it with a new portion of distilled liquid. Set aside the jar for 3 hours.
5. Mix the first concentrated infusion with the second.
6. Before use, dilute the product with water: for 5 liters of clean liquid a glass of horseradish billet.

Other methods
The infusion prepared from a potato or tomato tops will relieve from aphids. From young bushes cut side shoots or weak twigs. 1.5–3 kg of greens are soaked in a bucket of cold water, infused under a lid for 24 hours.

Aphids will disappear if you spray the beds with a solution of wood ash. Pour 3 tablespoons of powder into a bucket, add 100 g of chopped laundry soap. Stir the water until the components are completely dissolved.

In tinctures and decoctions, you can add essential oils of peppermint or tea tree. Strong odors scare away green bugs and protect cucumbers.

Synthetic drugs

If the aphid has not retreated after the use of folk remedies, the beds are sprayed with chemical means. Recommend sparing options:
