How to wash the paint from clothes at home

Paint stains are considered to be difficult to remove, especially for products made of delicate fabrics. There are frequent cases when painted shops or handrails are not marked by utilities as objects treated with colored pigment. As a result, a person unknowingly spoils his favorite clothes, and later puzzles what to do. Experienced housewives brought out effective recipes for home remedies that will help to cope with pollution in a short time. Consider each method in more detail.

How to wash the paint from clothes

Ammonia (ammonia) and vinegar

Not everyone knows, but acrylic paint is considered one of the varieties of water-based composition. Remove it from a mixture of ammonia, table vinegar (concentration 6-9%) and table salt. Mix the listed components in a proportion of 2: 2: 1.Place a food film under the place of contamination so that the mixture does not penetrate to the back side of the product. Lubricate the stain with the prepared mass, wait 5-10 minutes, then carefully rub the paint trail. Wash off the excess with water, repeat the procedure if necessary.

Turpentine

The drug is designed for all types of fabrics, but in most cases it is used to remove stains from paint on delicate products. The tool removes traces of dirt from the second or third time, so do not be upset in advance if the result is incomplete. Wipe the thing with a clothes brush or shake out the dust in another convenient way. Dip the cosmetic disc in turpentine, in a twisting motion, process the stain on both sides. Do not press hard so that the ink does not penetrate deeper into the fabric structure.

When you soak up the thing, wait 10-15 minutes, then put 2 paper napkins on the wrong side and the front side, press it with your hands. Reapply the paint coat with turpentine, leave for 1 hour, rub with a toothbrush, wash in a typewriter. If the stain is not removed completely, moisten it with water, sprinkle with talcum powder, put soft paper on both sides. Walk through the place of pollution with an iron, change the sheets as they are consumed.Finish the procedure with washing in a household machine with the addition of air conditioning.

Chlorine-containing products

The technique developed for removing stains from white and very light clothing indelicate fabrics. Get one of the most common types of bleach in your hardware store, such as “Whiteness”, “Perox”, “Domestos”. Pour 7 liters of water into the pan, add 3 caps of bleach, put on the stove, bring the solution to a boil, put the thing in the container. After 40 minutes, remove the clothes with forceps, send to the washing machine. Turn on the “Very dirty underwear” mode, pour in the whitening powder. After processing, hang the product to dry in fresh air, avoid direct UV rays.

Sodium borate, or "borax"

This tool has long been used as a stain remover of rust, lipstick, paint and other complex dirt. Get borax powder, mix 60 gr. loose mix from 70 ml. kefir, 25 ml. table vinegar solution. Remove the clothes, apply the prepared product on the stain on the wrong side, let it dry. After that, rub the paint mark with a stiff brush, repeat the same steps with the front side.In cases where the result did not meet expectations, increase the number of "borax" to 80 grams., Clean up again. Finish the drain with a machine or hand wash.

Laundry soap

If the contamination is fresh, try a regular machine wash. Rub the trail of paint with high-concentration laundry soap, cover it with food film on both sides and leave for a few hours. After the time, remove the polyethylene, brush the stain with a toothbrush. After that, rinse the product in hot water, repeat the previous manipulations. When the trail becomes dim, rub it with soap, send it to the machine. In the first compartment, add washing powder, in the second - 100 gr. baking soda. Start an intensive wash cycle, dry your clothes in fresh air.

Chlorhexidine and Lemon

Squeeze the juice from one lemon or cut the citrus in half. Wipe the paint stain with the pulp / liquid, leave for 2 hours. After the time, paint the paint with a brush or other similar device, shake off any excess. Get "Chlorhexidine" at the pharmacy, mix it with baking soda before forming a pasty mixture.Spread a thick layer over the stain, wait half an hour. After the time, wash the thing with your hands with household soap or tar soap, send it to the machine to complete the procedure.

Industrial solvent

If you have soiled your favorite item of clothing with oil paint, use this recipe. To get started, try to scrape the pigment with a knife, brush or other sharp object. After that, grease the stain with a greasy compound (petroleum jelly, lard, vegetable oil, etc.) to soften the paint. Dampen a cloth in an industrial solvent or White Spirit, wipe the stain starting from the edges. You can use nail polish remover or pure acetone, but these tools do not guarantee 100% results in the case of old stains.

Butter

Another way to get rid of things from the stains of oil paint. Take 70 gr. natural butter, soften it at room temperature, then combine with 3 tablespoons of laundry detergent (manual or “automatic”). Spread the ingredients into a paste, try to scrape off the paint with a sharp object.Shake off the dried particles, spread the resulting composition in a thick layer, rub well, wait 10-20 minutes depending on the degree of contamination. Wash the item by hand with the addition of a rinse aid for clothes.

Lemon acid

Citric acid against paint on clothes
Since citric acid is considered to be quite concentrated, it has brightening properties. Therefore, the product is used to remove stains from paint on white and light things. The technique is suitable for processing products from all types of fabric, except wool and silk. Dilute 2 sachets of citric acid 30 ml. water, mix, cover the contaminated area. Wait 10 minutes, then rinse the item and repeat the procedure. It is allowed to use fresh citrus for the processing of delicate fabrics, including silk and wool. Wipe the desired area with a cut lemon (pulp), wait for 20-40 minutes, then wash the thing with your hands.

Vinegar (essence)

Do not confuse the table solution with the essence, the concentration of the first composition is 10 times less than the second. Not everyone knows, but vinegar is used for industrial mass production. It maintains the color of fabrics, gives them brightness, strengthens fibers. For these reasons, the composition is used to remove stains from colored clothing. Buy vinegar in the form of essences (concentration 50-70%), pour 80 ml. composition of 3.5 liters of water, send clothes to the container, wait 2 hours.

At the end of the period, remove the items and immediately put them in the machine, turn on the appropriate mode. If the stain is small, it makes no sense to soak the whole product, process the thing locally. In cases where, for certain reasons, you could not find the essence, use regular table vinegar with a concentration of 6-9%. Dampen it with a cosmetic sponge, wipe the stain of paint, leave for 20 minutes. Repeat steps 3-5 times.

Medical alcohol

The composition is suitable for removing stains from water-based (latex) paint. Spread out the product on a flat surface, stretch the fabric fibers so that they do not fit tightly against each other. Lubricate the seamy side with vegetable oil, soak a lint-free cloth in ethyl alcohol, walk on the surface of the dirt, carefully rubbing the composition. Oil will not allow paint to enter deep into the fibers, which will reduce the risk of streaks. If you could not avoid spreading pigment, wash the product with your hands, then re-manipulate, but without using oil.

It is imperative to perform a test on an imperceptible area to ensure the safety of the composition. Do not increase the exposure time in the hope of wiping away the stain in 1 time. Do not disturb the proportions, when processing the product, proceed from the type of fabric.
