How to cook mojito at home

Mojito won the confidence of not only lovers of noisy parties, but also those who prefer to relax in a cozy atmosphere with friends. Mint and lime contained in the drink soothe the nervous system and promote relaxation. Mojito is alcoholic and non-alcoholic, the recipes for cooking in both species are similar. To prepare a drink at home is enough to follow the recommendations and not to spare money for the components. On the preparation of a cocktail takes about 15 minutes, which is good.

 How to cook mojito

Nonalcoholic Mojito with Pineapple Juice

To make you need: lime - 1 pc., Mint leaves - 20 gr., Brown sugar - 20 gr., Pineapple juice - 550 ml.

  1. Mash the mint leaves in a mortar so that the plant gives away the juice and ethers. You will feel the characteristic rich aroma. Dissolve brown sugar and rub it.
  2. Cut the lime into 3 equal slices, squeeze the juice out of two parts, leave one for decoration. After citrus has given the liquid, place it to the mint and knead well.
  3. Now you need to prepare crushed ice in a convenient way. Use a special knife or break it in a shaker, then add to the mint and lime so that the glass is half full.
  4. Pour in pineapple juice, mix the composition with a teaspoon.
  5. Garnish with the remaining lime, stick a straw.

Alcohol free mojito with orange

For cooking you will need: lime - 0.5 pcs., Lemon - 0.5 pcs., Honey - 30 gr., Mineral water with gas - 350 ml., Fresh mint - 20 gr., Orange - 1 pc.

  1. Squeeze the juice from orange and lemon in a convenient way, set aside. Chop the citrus zest into medium pieces and place them in a glass.
  2. Mash well, add honey and lime juice.
  3. Pour mint and lime zest. Grind again, pour in fresh orange juice and lemon, add crushed ice.
  4. After all the preparations, pour in sparkling water.
  5. Decorate the glass with a slice of any citrus and a mint leaf, insert the straw.

Non-alcoholic mojito with cherry

For the preparation you will need: frozen cherries - 70 gr., Lime - 1 pc., Fresh mint - 15 gr., Orange - 1 pc., Water with gas - 320 ml., Sugar (white or brown) - 20 gr.

  1. Place mint in the glass, mash it with wooden cutlery. You can use a special device (pestle) or the back side of the kitchen spatula.
  2. Remove the bones from the cherry, combine the berries with cane sugar, grind in a mortar to obtain a liquid mixture. Add to mint.
  3. Chop the lime into 3 sections, two of which are the same size and the third is smaller (for decoration). Squeeze the juice out of two parts, put the zest in a glass, mash in a convenient way (pestle, spatula).
  4. Squeeze the juice from the orange, chop a quarter of the zest and send into a glass, mash the peel.
  5. Add crushed ice, fill all components with carbonated water.
  6. Decorate the glass with a leaf of mint and a piece of lime, insert the straw, proceed to the tasting.

Non-alcoholic Mojito with Kiwi

To make you need: kiwi - 1 pc., Mint - 25 gr., Honey - 25 gr., Carbonated drink "Shveps" - 310 ml., Lime - 1 pc.

  1. Put the mint leaves in a glass, mash the pestle to form a juice.
  2. Remove peel from kiwi, chop into pieces, put in a glass and turn the fruit into a porridge. Add honey, mix well with a fork or other device with lightly sharp edges.
  3. Cut the lime into 3 equal parts, squeeze the juice out of two, place the zest in a glass. Third leave for decoration and subsequent use.
  4. Split the ice, pour in "Schweppes".
  5. Place a slice of lime on the edge of the glass, insert the straw. Before use, eat citrus fruit.

Classic alcoholic mojito

For the preparation you will need: white rum (preferably “Bacardi”) - 90 ml., Sprite carbonated drink - 250 ml., Lime - 1 pc., Sugar (cane or white) - 25 gr., Fresh mint leaves - 25 gr.

  1. Crush mint in a mortar, rub the mixture with cane sugar. Wait until it melts.
  2. Cut the lime into 3 parts, two of them should be the same size, the third will serve as decoration. Squeeze the juice out of the citrus, put the peel in a glass and mash the pestle.
  3. Split the ice with a knife or use a shaker, fill it with a glass.
  4. Pour in the rum and "Sprite", stir.
  5. Garnish with a slice of lime, insert a straw and boldly treat your friends.

Alcohol mojito with vodka

To prepare you will need: tangerines - 2 pcs., Vodka - 45 gr., Lime - 1 pc., An orange slice for decoration, mint leaves - 20 gr., Honey - 30 gr., Soda or tonic - 300 ml.

  1. For the preparation of vodka-based mojito, pitted mandarins are used. Remove the peel from them, mash into separate slices and place in the freezer for 1 hour.
  2. Crush fresh mint leaves in a mortar, add honey and grind the mixture.
  3. Squeeze the juice from the whole lime fruit, cut the zest into pieces and add to the glass.
  4. Remove tangerines from the freezer, place them in a container and knead well.
  5. Split the ice in a shaker or use a knife, mix with the rest of the ingredients.
  6. Pour in vodka and soda (tonic), place an orange slice on the edge of the glass, stick a straw. Enjoy the fruits of the work done.

Alcoholic Mojito with Peach

For the preparation you will need: lime - 1.5 pcs., Fresh mint leaves - 30 gr., Bacardi white rum - 100 ml., Brown sugar - 30 gr., Fresh peach - 1 pc., Unsweetened sparkling water - 300 ml.

  1. Remove the bone from the peach, cut the fruit into small pieces, chop in a blender or mince.
  2. Put mint and cane sugar in a glass, mash with a pestle.
  3. Squeeze the juice from the limes, leave the peel on half of the citrus. Grind it and add to the components of the cocktail.
  4. Mix the rum with peach mixture, send to the rest of the ingredients.
  5. Split the ice, fill it with a glass, pour in sparkling water.
  6. Stick the straw, decorate the edge of the glass with a mint leaf and serve to the table.

Alcohol mojito with strawberry

For the preparation you will need: fresh or frozen strawberries - 8 berries, fresh mint leaves - 25 gr., Lime - 1 pc., Shveps or Sprite carbonated drink - 300 ml., Mint or strawberry syrup - 15 ml., white rum "Bacardi" - 80 ml., honey - 25 gr.

  1. Put in the blender honey and strawberries, grind to the formation of porridge.
  2. Mash the mint in a glass. Cut the lime into 2 parts, squeeze the juice, mix with mint. Grind the zest from half of the citrus into pieces, add to the cocktail.
  3. Put ice and rum in a shaker, stir well. If there is no shaker, you can use an iron container with a lid.
  4. After the ice and rum are mixed, add them to the glass and fill it with a carbonated base (Schweps, Sprite).
  5. Add syrup, mix the ingredients with the back of a teaspoon.
  6. Place a mint leaf on the edge of the glass, stick a straw and serve it to the table.

It is easy to prepare mojito, if you keep the proportions and have the necessary ingredients. Cocktail is served immediately after preparation, make sure that all ingredients are pre-cooled. If you wish, you can turn a non-alcoholic drink into an alcoholic beverage by adding rum or vodka. Enjoy the taste and impeccable aroma of the Cuban drink!
