How to remove dried paint from clothes: 8 ways

Stains from the paint is quite difficult to remove from the fibers of the fabric, so the approach requires patience and attention to detail. It is especially difficult for housewives who wish to remove contamination from delicate items. There are effective folk remedies that help solve the problem quickly and at no extra cost. We present practical recommendations and consider important aspects in order.

How to remove dried paint from clothes

Kefir and sodium borate

In common people sodium borate is called "brown", the product can be purchased at any hardware store. The tool is especially effective in the case of removing not only paint stains, but also wine, coffee, rust, marker, etc.

Take 55 gr. sodium borate, add to it 30 ml of table vinegar 9% and 75 ml. fatty yogurt, mix thoroughly with a fork to eliminate lumps.Apply the mixture to the outer side of the stain, wait for partial drying.

Place the food film on top, then turn the product inside out, carry out the same manipulations. After 20 minutes, rub the dirt with a toothbrush, rinse with water. If the stain cannot be removed, increase the amount of sodium borate to 75 gr. After cleaning, send clothes to the wash.

Turpentine

As a rule, the tool is used to remove stains from silk and other delicate materials. It is allowed to use the composition on wool, cotton, flax, but the procedure will need to be carried out several times. Do not be discouraged in those cases, if the result is unsatisfactory.

To carry out the treatment with turpentine, you must first shake out the product and scrape off any possible dirt. Next, moisten with a cotton swab, treat the stain on the wrong side and the front side, leave for 10 minutes. No need to press hard, enough light driving movements. Otherwise, the paint will be even more incorporated into the fibers of the product.

After the expiry of the due date, take a few paper towels, place them on both sides of the soil, squeeze them with your palms. After that, wipe the stain again with a cosmetic disc dipped in turpentine, wait 45-60 minutes. Then send the product to the machine or wash it by hand.

In cases where the pollution has been partially removed, cover it with baby powder without fragrances. Place an album sheet on the surface, walk the iron. As it gets dirty, change the paper; finish processing with another wash.

Butter

Oil paint is removed with butter, no matter how ironic it sounds. For the procedure you will need to take 75 grams. product and soften it at room temperature. After this, combine the composition with 80 gr. powder for hand washing, stir with a fork until smooth.

 Butter from paint stains

Rub the paint with a paste, rub it with a toothbrush, remove the excess with a paper towel. Reapply the product to the pollution, cover with food film, leave for half an hour. After all the manipulations wash the thing with soap, then place it in the machine.

Table Vinegar and Ammonia

Ammonia is ammonia. In combination with the vinegar solution, it removes stains of paint in almost 100% of cases. As a rule, the method is particularly effective in the fight against water-based (acrylic) composition.

To properly prepare the mixture, combine into one part 30 gr. crushed edible salt (not iodized, it burns out the pigment), 65 ml. acetic solution concentration from 6 to 9%, 50 ml. ammonia (ammonia).

Place a piece of polyethylene on the inside of the stain, spread the prepared mixture over the dirt, leave for 7 minutes. After a time, rub with a toothbrush (if the fabric is not delicate) or a soft cloth. Clean the remnants of the composition with water, machine wash or hand wash.

Chlorine

The method is designed for removing stains from white or very light things. For the most part, chlorine-containing preparations are used to process cotton and flax, the fibers of the listed fabrics are more wear-resistant.

To remove contaminants, buy at the hardware store “Perrox” or “Whiteness”, pour 80 ml. drug in an aluminum bucket, add 6 liters of water. Put the container on the stove, boil the solution, send the product there. Boil for 30 minutes, constantly "drown" thing with forceps, so that it does not pop up.

After this period, remove the clothes, send them to be washed in the machine. Set the function "heavily soiled linen", add the whitening gel in a special compartment. After turning off the timer, hang the product to dry on the balcony, avoid direct exposure to ultraviolet radiation.

Tar soap

To remove fresh stains will help tar or laundry soap, which is sold in any supermarket. Moisten a trace of paint with water, rub it with a bar, leave to soak for 2 hours. After that, wash, repeat the action 2-3 more times, rub the stain with a carpet brush or a hard sponge.

 Tar soap from paint stains

Then send the item to be erased in the machine, add a stain remover like “Sarma”, “Domestos” or “Vanish”. The second compartment in which the powder should be located, fill the baking soda in the amount of 100 grams. Turn on the intensive wash, dry the product away from direct sunlight.

Lemon and hydrogen peroxide

Take 1 lemon, cut it into small pieces and skip through a blender or meat grinder to make a mushy mass. Moisten the stain with hydrogen peroxide, place the citrus mixture over the entire spot, rub well.Leave for 1 hour, then remove the excess with a napkin, evaluate the result. If necessary, repeat the procedure several more times until the stain is completely removed.

Optionally, replace the peroxide "Chlorhexidine", which is sold in a pharmacy (the composition of drugs is identical). If you decide to remove traces of paint from colored delicate fabrics, do not rub hydrogen peroxide contamination. It is enough to moisten the area with lemon juice and wait half an hour, then carry out the machine / hand wash.

Acetic Essence

Do not confuse vinegar with table salt (edible vinegar). Their difference lies in the maximum concentration: in the first case, the indicator is 65-70%, in the second - a maximum of 9%. Not many people know that the product is used in enterprises to impart a shade of brightness and improve the fabric structure. For this reason, vinegar essence can be used in reasonable quantities on fabrics of all kinds and colors.

To prepare the solution for soaking, mix 75 ml. essences with 3.3 liters. filtered water, put the clothes in the bowl, wait about 1-1.5 hours. After the specified time, send the clothes to the machine. In case of minor contamination, treat paint traces locally.

It is easy to get rid of traces of paint on clothes, if you have sufficient knowledge about the existing folk remedies. Consider the recipe for preparing a solution based on kefir and sodium borate, turpentine, hydrogen peroxide or "chlorhexidine". Rub the pollution with butter, use chlorine, ammonia or table vinegar.

Vinegar and ammonia with salt did not help ABSOLUTELY. Although the paint on the pants quite a bit, the result is simply zero.
