During breastfeeding, mommy needs special attention to her diet - and all the doctors are talking about this. The fact is that all the products that enter the mother's body, affect the consistency, color, taste of milk. Some foods can provoke allergic reactions, the baby can even refuse from the breast if the milk has an unpleasant taste for it. In this publication, we consider whether a nursing mother can eat boiled sausage, which product should be chosen in order not to harm herself and the health of the child.
Why some foods can not be eaten during lactation?
It is noteworthy that, while observing the diet, the diet of a nursing mother should still be diverse, contain sufficient amounts of fats, carbohydrates and proteins.It is not a secret for anybody that the infant's body is still weakened, the gastrointestinal tract functions poorly due to the almost complete absence of microflora. So, some foods may negatively affect the health of the child:
- provoke an allergic reaction;
- skin rashes may occur, in some cases diathesis;
- colic, bloating;
- milk rejection.
The sausage (boil) is not included in the list of allowed products, but if the product is of high quality, the mother can safely dilute her meager diet with them. The best option is to cook boiled sausage yourself, in which case you will know for sure that it does not contain harmful additives, but only valuable protein and fats - they are exactly what the nursing mother needs most.
It is interesting! If the milk is liquid, the baby often reaches for the breast, cries - by its appearance it can be said that the child is hungry almost all the time, then the boiled meat will be the ideal solution, because liquid milk indicates insufficient fat content of mother's milk, for this reason the baby feels hungry.
How to choose a purchase of sausage?
Natural sausage is made from meat, eggs, milk, a small amount of spices. Carefully study the label before you buy a sausage product! Poor quality boiled meat can be negatively reflected both on the mother’s health and on the child’s well-being - and even poisoning.
Before buying sausage, you need to make sure that it is made in accordance with GOST. That is, in its composition there are no harmful impurities. Mothers who breastfeed should not eat foods with the following supplements:
- vegetable protein;
- soybean;
- E-shki;
- modified starch;
- thickeners.
Consider an example of what should be a part of high-quality, useful doctoral sausage:
- minced pork and beef;
- bacon (finely chopped lard);
- egg white.
Relatively recently, a veal with a “smoke” appeared on sale - it has a slightly smoky taste. For adults, they seem to be especially tasty, but in fact such a boil is very unhealthy - the aroma is given using “wild smoke”; nobody really smokes sausage because of the high cost of the procedure. After such a delicacy, the baby may have a lot of unpleasant effects - from allergies to poisoning due to the fact that the sausage contains a huge amount of harmful chemicals.
Another point worth mentioning is that starch is often present in sausages. It would seem that the substance is not dangerous, but if the mother does not seek to gain weight - he does not need it. In general, many nutritionists agree that it is better not to eat sausages for nursing mothers - there are too many different additives in them. But personally cooked boiled sausage will be useful and very nutritious.
What to look for when buying sausage?
Before buying, be sure to pay attention to the expiration date. According to the standard, at a temperature range from 0 to -8 degrees, the sausage can be stored no more than 3 days after it was made. If the shelf life is longer, you can be sure there are preservatives in the product.
Also, when choosing, you need to follow the following nuances:
- The best option is to choose a boiled sausage that was made a day ago.
- The color of the real sausage without additives - slightly rozovinkoy, if the product has a pronounced, juicy red color - it contains dyes.
- Products must be only in a natural shell.
- If you buy a half of sausage - before you eat it, you have to heat treat the product.
- The cut should be smooth, smooth, without cartilage and tendons.
- Slices of sausage should not be too flexible - otherwise you can be sure that the product has a large amount of gelatin, which is not recommended for nursing mothers.
- It is best to take a purchase of sausage from beef or pork mince - in the minced poultry contains a large amount of cartilage.
- Pay attention to the protein content in the sausage - it should be at least 10% per 100 grams.
Important! If you want to reduce the risk of buying a poor-quality, stale product - in this case, it is better to pick up local-made sausage. The risk that the product is stored for a long time is practically excluded - due to the fact that the local boiled meat does not require transportation, they are immediately taken from the factory to company stores.
In any case, if you are not sure that your baby will transfer the new product normally - you should not risk and buy boiled sausage. It is better to cook it yourself, or (if there is no time for it) to eat a piece of baked or boiled meat - it will be more beneficial for both mother and child.
